About
About
Tucked deep in a quiet laneway of Perth, Cabin Fever was a tiny hole in the wall cafe, gallery, creative space and giftstore. Featuring a wall of vintage teacup, warm wooden interiors and cosy retro furniture, the cafe served the CBD office workers on the east side of Perth city with smooth ristretto coffee, toasties and seasonal salads alongside a cute giftshop selling cards and curiosities. The space also featured a tiny gallery which ran group shows, workshops and small events featuring up and coming Perth creatives and artists. A commissioned mural by renowned Perth artists YOK & Sheryo featured along the outside laneway as an icon of Perth's burgeoning street art and illustrative scene in the 2010s.

NOTES
The concept behind this cafe / gallery was to provide a space for connection for Perth CBD creatives and a platform for upcoming artists to display their work in a public setting. Having this space has been one of my favourite experiences to date - a book club met there, small offices had their Christmas parties there, someone even proposed to their partner in the cafe.
It's a privilege to create a space that holds so many stories for so many people.
